one of honey
one of honey is the origin of essence, the start of sweetness, the nectar fed to the larva, the waste of divine & dying race, the illumination of the hive queen with a halo of hunger for the egg.
rites & ritual:
burn a beeswax candle molded in the shape of a moth. light the wick. attract an animate moth. collect its singed wings. swallow.
king of gold
sex with midas. less is more, enough is too much. the king knows no want. his skin painted golden, no need for crowns. the master of the object of all alchemy. the firm malleable principle.
rites & ritual:
infuse maple syrup with scotch broom and sunshine. capture a fox kid under the light of the full moon. harvest her saliva. add to syrup and serve over french texas toast.
eight of blood
the eight of blood is the ouroboros, the infinity sign, the shedding serpent of transformation and cyclic change, the shifting of the seasons, the solstice point. the purpose of the pumping heart.
rites & ritual:
take ecstasy, in pharmaceutical or organic form. strip down to your underwear. dance in the dark to springsteen’s “dancing in the dark.” this gun’s for hire.

of Abu Musa’s 500 year old orchard

Occupied foods, hummus & falafel,
claimed by both Palestine and Israel.
Duende Dark & Stormy*
Liquid lapis lazuli, stirred with frozen fire agate,
warmed by light filtered through old growth cedars.
Served in a copper mug made from
melted down palestine-era pennies.
*This cocktail does not intoxicate but rather erases drunkeness and encourages sobriety.
